Temple, Shirley (1928-...), was the most popular child motion-picture star of the 1930's. She made her movie debut at the age of 3 and became a star in the 1934 film musical Stand Up and Cheer. Shirley Temple made about 25 movies during the 1930's, including Little Miss Marker (1934), The Little Colonel (1935), The Littlest Rebel (1935), and Dimples (1936). She played teen-age roles in many movies during the 1940's, but these films were not as popular as her earlier pictures.
