Saint George's Channel is an arm of the Atlantic Ocean that separates Wales from southern Ireland. It is about 100 miles (160 kilometers) long and from 60 to 100 miles (97 to 160 kilometers) wide. The channel runs from Holyhead, Wales, and from Dublin to St. David's Head, Wales, and joins the Irish Sea with the Atlantic Ocean.
