Rubinstein, ROO bihn styn, Arthur (1887-1982), was a Polish-born concert pianist. He became famous for his warmly expressive interpretations of music by romantic composers of the 1800's, especially Frederic Chopin. Rubinstein also gained praise for his performances of works by Franz Liszt, Robert Schumann, Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky, Manuel de Falla, and Heitor Villa-Lobos. In addition to his solo concerts, Rubinstein performed chamber music with other prominent musicians.
