Rochester, Minnesota, the seat of Olmsted County. It is on the Zumbro River, about 72 miles (116 km) south-southeast of St. Paul. The Mayo Clinic (founded 1889) has made Rochester a world-famous medical center. The city's products include canned goods and electronic data-processing equipment. Rochester was settled in 1854.
