Richardson, Robert Coleman (1937-...), is an American professor who specializes in ultra-low temperature physics. Richardson shared the 1996 Nobel Prize for physics with fellow Americans David Lee and Douglas Osheroff for their discovery of superfluidity in helium-3, a rare isotope (type) of helium.
