Nomad is a person who moves from one place to another as a way of making a living. The word nomad comes from a Greek word that means one who wanders for pasture. Most nomadic peoples move through a certain area according to a cycle based on their activities and the seasons. Nomadic peoples traditionally travel by animal or canoe or on foot. Today, however, some nomads travel by motor vehicle. Most of them live in tents or other portable shelters.
