Nepean River is a river that rises in the Illawarra coastal range southeast of Bowral in New South Wales, Australia. It meets the Grose River to form the Hawkesbury River near Richmond. The river and its tributaries have reservoirs that provide water for Sydney. Farmers in lands drained by the Nepean raise stud horses, cattle, and poultry, and grow citrus fruits and vegetables for Sydney markets.
