National Optical Astronomy Observatories (NOAO) are a group of astronomy research centers funded by the United States government. The NOAO consists of three observatories. The observatories are Kitt Peak National Observatory near Tucson, Arizona; Cerro-Tololo Inter-American Observatory in northern Chile; and the National Solar Observatory in Arizona and New Mexico.
