Mount Tongariro is a mountain in the North Island of New Zealand. It rises 6,457 feet (1,968 meters) above sea level and is one of three mountains in Tongariro National Park. Boiling springs rise from the ground at an altitude of about 5,900 feet (1,800 meters) on its northern slopes. See also Mount Ngauruhoe.
