Morceli, Noureddine (1970-...), is a record-breaking Algerian middle distance runner. Morceli is slightly built but is capable of devastating speed. During his career, Morceli has broken all four outdoor world records in races from 1,500 meters to 3,000 meters. He also has held world indoor records in the 1,000-meter and 1,500-meter races. Morceli won the gold medal for 1,500 meters at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
