Milne, mihln, David Brown (1882-1953), was an important Canadian painter. Milne is best known for creating simplified arrangements of flattened forms with short, broken brushstrokes. Milne primarily painted landscapes and still lifes, using either oil paint or water colors. He also made many color prints using a method called drypoint etching.
