Macleod, Iain (1913-1970), was a Conservative Party politician in the United Kingdom. He became chancellor of the exchequer (the country's chief financial officer) a month before his death on July 20, 1970. He had held a number of important posts in the governments of the 1950's and 1960's. He became minister of health in 1952, minister of labour in 1955, and colonial secretary in 1959. From 1961 until 1963, he was leader of the House of Commons.
