Kosovo, KOH soh voh, also spelled Kosova, is a province in southern Serbia. Most Kosovars are ethnic Albanians. Others include Serbs, Montenegrins, and some Turks. In the late 1990's and early 2000's, Kosovo was torn by ethnic conflict.
