Kelly, Paul (1947-...), is an Australian political newspaper journalist and author. He began his career in journalism in 1974, joining The Australian as its chief political correspondent. He moved to the National Times in 1976, and then to The Sydney Morning Herald in 1981. He later returned to The Australian as national affairs editor. Kelly served as editor in chief at The Australian from 1991 to 1996. In 1996, he became the newspaper's international editor.
