Keith, Sir Arthur (1866-1955), was a British anatomist and anthropologist. His major work consisted of the interpretation of fossil remains of early human beings and their relationship to modern people. Among his writings in anthropology are The Antiquity of Man (enlarged edition, 1925), Concerning Man's Origin (1927), Essays on Human Evolution (1946), and A New Theory of Evolution (1948).
