Javed Miandad (1957-...), a Pakistani cricket player, scored more Test runs than any other Pakistani cricketer. A right-handed batsman, he became one of the highest scoring batsmen in the history of cricket. Javed captained Pakistan several times in the 1980's and 1990's. He became known for his brilliant, sometimes unorthodox stroke play. He was also a useful spin bowler. He began his first-class cricket career at the age of 16.
