Hydrogen

Hydrogen (chemical symbol, H) is the simplest atom and the most abundant chemical element. The basic hydrogen atom consists of a single proton with one electron bound to it. About 90 percent of all atoms in the universe are hydrogen atoms. Under normal conditions on Earth, pure hydrogen exists in the form of bound pairs of atoms. This type of hydrogen, called molecular hydrogen or H2, is a tasteless, odorless, colorless gas.
