Houston Astros are a major league baseball team that plays in the Central Division of the National League. From 1965 to 1999, the Astros played in the Astrodome in Houston, the first all-weather multipurpose domed stadium in the world. The Astrodome was the first stadium in the world to use an artificial nylon and vinyl playing surface called AstroTurf instead of natural grass. In 2000, the Astros moved to the retractable-roof Enron Field (now Minute Maid Park) in Houston.
