Hattersley, Roy (1932-...), a British politician and author, was deputy leader of the Labour Party from 1983 to 1992. He had been secretary of state for prices and consumer protection from 1976 to 1979. After the Labour election defeat in 1979, he became the opposition spokesman on home affairs.
