Gregory, Francis Thomas (1821-1888), was an Australian explorer who led two expeditions into Western Australia. One took place from 1857 to 1858, and the other trek followed the De Grey River in 1861. Gregory was the brother of Sir Augustus Gregory, also an explorer. Francis Gregory was appointed commissioner of Crown lands in Queensland in 1862 and a member of the Queensland Legislative Council in 1874. He also served as postmaster general for a short time in 1883. See also Gregory, Augustus.
