Greer, Hal (1936-...), became one of the highest scoring guards in the history of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Greer scored a team record 21,586 points during his 15-year career with the Syracuse Nationals (later Philadelphia 76ers) of the NBA. Greer stood 6 feet 2 inches (188 centimeters) tall. He was especially known for his quickness, his deft jump shot, and his accurate free-throw shooting.
