Graf, Steffi (1969-...), a German tennis champion, became one of the greatest women players in tennis history. In 1988, Graf was the third woman to win the Grand Slam of tennis, taking the singles titles at Wimbledon in England, the French Open, the United States Open, and the Australian Open all in the same year. She also won the gold medal in women's singles at the 1988 Summer Olympic Games. She became known for her powerful forehand shot and her speed in covering the court.
