Goossens is the name of an English family of three brothers and a sister who made major contributions to British musical life. Their father, Eugene Goossens (1845-1906), was a conductor who was born in Bruges, Belgium, and settled in England in 1873. His son Eugene Goossens (1867-1958) was a violinist and conductor, and the father of Eugene, Leon, Marie, and Sidonie Goossens.
