Fiennes, Sir Ranulph

Fiennes, Sir Ranulph (1944-...), an English explorer, became famous principally for his polar expeditions. Between 1979 and 1982, he led the Transglobe Expedition, which followed the Greenwich meridian and the international date line around the world, crossing the North Pole and the South Pole.
