Solway Firth is an inlet of the Irish Sea on the west coast of Scotland. Its waters separate Dumfries and Galloway, in Scotland, from Cumbria, in England. The Solway Firth is about 40 miles (64 kilometers) long. Its maximum width is about 20 miles (32 kilometers). Several rivers, including the Annan, Esk, and Derwent, flow into it.
