Clark, C. M. H. (1915-1991), an Australian historian, was professor of history at the Australian National University from 1949 to 1975. His best-known works include Select Documents in Australian History 1788-1850 (1950), Settlers and Convicts (1953), Select Documents in Australian History 1851-1900 (1955), and Sources of Australian History (1957). The first volume of his major six-volume work, A History of Australia, was published in 1962.
