Borden-Carleton

Borden-Carleton (pop. 786) is the main port of entry to the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island. It lies on the Northumberland Strait, about 40 miles (64 kilometers) west of Charlottetown. Confederation Bridge connects Borden-Carleton and Cape Tormentine, on the New Brunswick mainland. This toll bridge, which opened in 1997, extends about 8 miles (13 kilometers) across the Northumberland Strait.
