Chichester, CHIHCH ihs tur, Sir Francis (1901-1972), an English adventurer, made long-distance boat and airplane voyages. In August 1966, he sailed alone from England to Australia in his 53-foot (16-meter) yacht, Gipsy Moth IV. He returned to England in May 1967, passing through the dangerous seas around Cape Horn.
