Chaminade University of Honolulu is a private institution of higher learning in Honolulu, Hawaii. It was established in 1955 as St. Louis Junior College by the Society of Mary, also known as Marianists, a Roman Catholic religious order of men and women. In 1957, it became a four-year institution and was renamed Chaminade College in honor of William Joseph Chaminade, a French priest. The college became Chaminade University in 1977. It admits both women and men.
