Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) is the national public broadcasting service in Canada. The CBC, known as Societe Radio-Canada in French, operates radio and television networks and produces information, general interest, special interest, music, and cultural programs. It owns nearly 100 television and radio stations, and it supplies programming to more than 25 affiliate stations. The CBC owns most of its more than 1,400 rebroadcasters, low-power stations that receive and retransmit radio or television signals.
