Camp Fire USA is a youth development organization in the United States. It seeks to build confidence in children and teen-agers, to provide leadership experiences, and to improve the conditions in society that affect young people. Camp Fire USA designs its programs to meet five main goals: (1) The programs are youth-centered. (2) They engage the entire family. (3) They are welcoming and inclusive. (4) They build partnerships between young people and adults. (5) They provide service to others.
Camp Fire USA has councils throughout the United States. Young members of Camp Fire USA range from infants 6 weeks old in child care programs to adults 21 years of age. However, the majority of young people in Camp Fire USA programs are between 5 and 18 years old. Adult members include people who serve as small group leaders and program leaders. The organization also has both paid and volunteer staff.
