Cadman, Charles Wakefield (1881-1946), was an American composer. He wrote songs, operas, and instrumental works that reflected his interest in American Indian music. His operas include Shanewis (1918) and The Sunset Trail (1925). He also wrote the songs "At Dawning" and "From the Land of the Sky-Blue Water." He later turned to other subjects, as in the opera A Witch of Salem (1926).
