Armagh, County, was the smallest of the six counties of Northern Ireland. It extended from the shore of Lough Neagh in the north to the border with the Republic of Ireland in the south and west. When local government was reorganized in 1973, much of the county became the district of Armagh. Other parts were included in the districts of Dungannon, Banbridge, and Newry and Mourne.
