Aranda is a group of Australian Aborigines who live in northern central Australia. The Aranda had a rich and complex religion and an elaborate system of kinship. These factors bound the members of the local group to each other. They spoke a language different from that of their neighbors. Many Aranda now live on government and mission stations.
