American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is the world's largest federation of scientific organizations. AAAS has about 270 affiliated societies and academies of science, which cover the physical, life, and social sciences. Individual members of AAAS number about 140,000. Membership is open to anyone interested in achieving the objectives of AAAS.
